New Skin

Wish I could get new skin this easily when I'm old. LOL  If you remember in earlier pics, the front was really beat. The hunter who previously owned it pulled it thru woods and rocks and it had a huge dent right in the middle from his huge metal box he had installed on the hitch, and lots and lots of rock dents! Mike found an aluminum man here in Vegas who made the new sheet for us in one day! He had to make it custom since this pattern isn't made anymore but we didn't have to pay shipping since he was local. Very happy with that.

Holiday 'Insulation' Work

Holidays are trying to slow us down! Ain't going to happen ;-)

Yes! We are starting the walls! Mike said if we were going to take it down to frame we just had to add insulation. No problem, sounds good to me!

Painting Kitchen Cabinets

Its my turn to have some fun! I'm faux finishing the cabinets since I'm going for the Shabby Chic/vintage style. After I deglossed old finish, I painted 2 coats of my robins egg blue, then made the edges look vintage/older with gloss that I applied then wiped with an oilcloth. Then added 2 coats of satin top coat for protection.

New Floor

So the whole bottom framing under the wheel wells just fell off with us just touching it.
Much better! Mike made his own.
Just the bottom front of the trailer aluminum was damaged, as so many of these are since the rocks, etc. from the roads shoot back at it leaving pits and dents.
Mike found an aluminum guy here in Las Vegas that made the piece for us. So she will be as good as new!
When we would step into trailer, you could feel the floor give. Mike made it nice & sturdy now.
New floor complete! Now on to the new walls.

Extra 'Floor' Insurance

So Mike, aka hubby, added some more bracing. Jeesh, maybe we won't fall thru floor now!
