Painting Kitchen Cabinets
Its my turn to have some fun! I'm faux finishing the cabinets since I'm going for the Shabby Chic/vintage style. After I deglossed old finish, I painted 2 coats of my robins egg blue, then made the edges look vintage/older with gloss that I applied then wiped with an oilcloth. Then added 2 coats of satin top coat for protection.
New Floor
So the whole bottom framing under the wheel wells just fell off with us just touching it.
When we would step into trailer, you could feel the floor give. Mike made it nice & sturdy now.
New floor complete! Now on to the new walls.
Much better! Mike made his own.
Just the bottom front of the trailer aluminum was damaged, as so many of these are since the rocks, etc. from the roads shoot back at it leaving pits and dents.
Mike found an aluminum guy here in Las Vegas that made the piece for us. So she will be as good as new! When we would step into trailer, you could feel the floor give. Mike made it nice & sturdy now.
New floor complete! Now on to the new walls.
Floor? Who Needs A Floor?
Where the heck is the floor bracing? When we ripped off the floor we found out fast why so many parts of the original wooden plywood felt like you were sinking when you walked on it. There is like nothing here!!!
Demolition Time
Okay, enough of these depressing BEFORE pictures. Lets get to work!
Why can't the renovation part be as easy as the ripping out part? Wow, in like an hour my hubby had it almost bare. Meanwhile we let the paint remover set for an hour and then all that spray paint and white paint under that came off with just a rag! I was so impressed with the orange stripper we bought at Home Depot. Its also non-toxic with no fumes.
