I just found out we will be in a trailer show next month so now the race is on to get interior at least usable if not finished. With the closet rebuilt, we slid original but painted cabinet back in, add stove, and we need to build countertop. I also started staining the bench tops.
The laminate is a special order from Lowe's. It came in about 2 weeks and now we need to glue it onto pressboard with contact cement, then add the original counter trim which I saved.

First Exterior Pics of Our '63 Sante Fe
We've come a long way, baby! Couple few little vents & elect box to install & exterior is complete, just in time to tow her to the big Pismo, Ca meet!
I love what Mike made to hide my propane tank! This antique trunk is about 100 yrs old & will look great with other vintage luggage piled on top of it when I stage it for shows/camping.
He installed new hardware so it could open sideways (that way it can sit close to trailer without hitting it) and he installed a little vent behind tank so fumes can escape/air can flow in. It also holds our firewood, wheel choks, etc.

Oven Remodel
Thank you to Antique Gas Stoves in Alta Loma, Cali for the beautiful reglaze they did on my 60s style brown oven. Reglazing is the correct procedure when you want to change the color of your vintage ovens since there is no spray paint that can resist the high temperatures it will be under. Glazing is what is done to begin with so this truly is a brand new oven. They even fixed my broken grate & reglazed them to a shiny black. Better yet, you just mail them the parts and they mail it back! No need to drive to Cali!

Paint Is Complete!
Love it! Love it!

Of course she just needs some cleaning up, like wiping the pink chalk lines, but it is so shiny and looks like a brand new car. I know a paint job isn't cheap but I cant emphasize enough what a professional paint job can do! These pictures truly doesn't do it justice.

Thanks to Rick at Atlas Auto Body on Tropicana in Las Vegas and great job, Tom the painter!

White Paint Done, Time For Red
Gotta get those curves right. It was pretty difficult but I think it will be worth it when its done. The auto body shop had to make several templates and then make them all even. I wanted a more feminine look than the more popular straight lines and z's.
The painter was asking me why I didn't want to paint the window frames the same colors. I chose to keep them aluminum after looking at many, many photos of both painted and aluminum. Besides saving a little money on paint, I chose to keep them aluminum in case I ever have to replace a window frame (ex. it gets broken into or they get dented or they start to leak & we would have to work on them) then I wont have to haul it back into the paint shop.
